Erik grew up in the small border town of Blaine, WA. For as long as he can remember sports were always a huge part of his life. He played football, basketball, baseball and soccer for most of his life. Along with a passion for sports, he enjoyed learning and getting an education. After graduating from Blaine High School, Erik decided to attend Pacific Lutheran University, where he would eventually gain a Bachelors Degree in Economics.
Erik began work for the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound in the fall of 2004. As a college student, he wanted a job that would allow him to enjoy his work along with allowing him to focus on his studies. He began at the Al Davies Branch where he found exactly what he was looking for.
After three years at Al Davies, Erik had built amazing relationship both with children and with the Al Davies staff. Upon graduating from PLU, he knew he wanted to continue with the Boys & Girls Clubs and in May of 2007 he accepted a position as a Program Director at the Gonyea Branch. After six months in this position, Erik was offered a position in the Administrative office, working in the Finance department. He feels very privileged to use his talents in finance for an organization that he has grown to love and is passionate about.
In his spare time, Erik enjoys being outdoors and working out. He also enjoys playing basketball and golf along with RELAXING. Erik has a passion for working with kids and mentoring youth. He is so proud of the many young men and women these kids are becoming and is excited for all the kids to come.
