Colby joined the BGCSPS as the Director of Athletics in April 2003. Colby received his BA from Penn State University and holds a Masters Degree in Sport and Exercise Leadership from Seattle Pacific University. He has a true passion for the Boys & Girls Club movement and believes strongly in the educational, recreational, cultural, and social value Clubs provide to the nation’s youth.
Colby currently serves as Area Director where he is responsible for providing branches across three counties with supervision and support to achieve the following goals outlined in the Strategic Plan:
- Positively impact the lives of Club members in three key areas (Academic Success, Character and Citizenship, Healthy Lifestyles).
- Develop and manage partnerships that enhance our effectiveness in Clubs and communities.
- Improve sustainability by developing stronger board and staff members and increasing donations from businesses, individuals, and foundations.
- Ensuring that Boys & Girls Clubs are safe places and recognized as the model of a trusted and ethical non-profit.
