Our annual Legacy of Hope fundraising event, held on February 20, 2025 at the Hotel Murano in Tacoma, was an extraordinary success. With nearly 500 of our closest friends in attendance, the evening was filled with inspiration, energy, and standing ovations throughout the night. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us in support of this mission.
A standout moment of the evening was the presentation of the Youth of the Year Awards. We were proud to recognize the 2025 honorees:

Mason Sullivan, Franklin Pierce High School, Henry T. Schatz Branch
Talelia Sweet, Bremerton High School, Bremerton Branch
Mason Sullivan, from the Henry T. Schatz Branch, was named the 2025 Youth of the Year for the region. In his acceptance speech, Mason shared his belief in the importance of volunteering in the communities that supported him, a sentiment that truly embodies the spirit of our mission.
Aliana Riviere took home this year's My Voice award for her uplifting and heartful speech.
We were also proud to honor LaTasha Wortham, an Al Davies Branch alumni, with an induction into the Boys & Girls Clubs Hall of Fame for her exceptional commitment to volunteerism and community service.
Another highlight of the evening was the presentation of the 2025 Stan Naccarato Community Service Award to Louis P. Cooper. Louis, joined by his family, graciously accepted the award for his years of advocacy and dedication to serving young people through his work with various nonprofit boards.
Finally, we heard from Christney Kpodo, who shared a moving story about how the Boys & Girls Clubs helped shape her leadership journey. Christney, who joined the Clubs at 14, spoke about the profound impact it had on her life and encouraged everyone in the room to continue supporting our cause so that we can provide more young people with the opportunities that transformed her own trajectory.
