Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2026 Legacy of HOPE on Thursday, February 26, at the Hotel Murano’s Bicentennial Pavilion! It was an unforgettable evening celebrating the inspiring young leaders of the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound.

Together, we honored our Youth of the Year finalists—remarkable Club members who exemplify leadership, service, academic excellence, and healthy lifestyles. The night was a powerful reminder of the bright futures our youth are building.

Christian Paige is an Emmy-nominated spoken word poet, professional speaker, educator, and former Tacoma Poet Laureate. A first-generation college graduate and Act Six Scholar, Christian uses poetry and storytelling to inspire students, educators, and communities nationwide, encouraging people to use their voices to advocate, empower, and create change.

Tanya Durand is a longtime community leader and advocate for children, families, and equitable access to learning. As a leader at Greentrike, Tanya has spent nearly 30 years championing play-based education, creativity, and inclusion, helping young people across South Puget Sound build confidence, joy, and opportunity. Her leadership reflects a deep commitment to equity, community, and creating spaces where every child can thrive.
