Tacoma, WA (July 3, 2023) – Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound (BGCSPS) received a $40,000 grant from the Employees Community Fund (ECF) of Boeing Puget Sound Chapter to enhance security for youth in Kitsap and Pierce counties.

The funds will go toward security updates at four Club sites: Al Davies Branch, Bremerton Branch, Henry T. Schatz Branch, and Lakewood Branch. Updates will include installing security cameras, electric release keypads, and perforated mesh window coverings.

“ECF of Boeing Puget Sound has been an incredible supporter of ours for years. We are so grateful for their continued investment in our youth,” said Carrie Holden, President/CEO of BGCSPS. “Child safety is our most important priority and this grant will help us provide a safe environment for young people where they can thrive.”

BGCSPS is one of 36 non-profit organizations receiving support from the ECF of Boeing Puget Sound in this latest grant announcement.

“Our Boeing teammates are known for their generous investments of time and money to improve their communities in the Puget Sound,” said Katrina White, chapter president of ECF Boeing Puget Sound. “The Boys & Girls Clubs are a great way to invest in our young people and prepare them for a successful future.”
