Taco Bell Foundation Grant

Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound Awarded $20,000 to fuel young people's bold ambitions

Tacoma, WA (June 1, 2023) – Today, Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound (BGCSPS) received a $20,000 grant from the Taco Bell Foundation to support teens in Kitsap, Pierce, and Mason counties. The funds will go toward our Academic Success initiative, which involves tutoring and homework help, teaching social emotional skills, providing enrichment activities, and empowering the families of our Club members.

“Taco Bell Foundation is making an incredible impact in our community by investing in the education of local teens,” said Carrie Holden, President/CEO of BGCSPS. “Together, our partnership will provide the academic tools for youth who will become our next generation of leaders.”

BGCSPS is one of more than 450+ youth-serving organizations that will receive a portion of the $15 million in Community Grants presented by the Taco Bell Foundation this year. The grants are an example of the Taco Bell Foundation’s mission to break down barriers to education and fuel young people’s boldest ambitions.

“We are proud that the work we do through our Community Grants program connects young people with the resources and opportunities they need to learn and drive change,” said Jennifer Bradbury, Executive Director of the Taco Bell Foundation.
